Come Work!

This is a new offering being slowly rolled out! Book before we connect and we can arrange a date, or I may have sent you here after a chat! Email info@dalbyfarm.com for more.

Sign up to Come Work! Based on the age of your crew (specify by oldest child) – Kendall will have a couple items on the daily list of farm chores that you can help us with!

Things to note:

-We are a family farm, our animals are our pets. Our goal is to encourage your child to develop the same mentality of love & respect for them (and all animals) by building meaningful relationships through basic farm care activities. Many of our animals have come to trust our farm friends-  and we give you the opportunity to continue that bond.

This is not a drop-off program, a caregiver must attend (unless the child becomes a recurring visitor for these, in which case we can discuss!) – ages up to 8 are welcome to participate!
Caregivers are not expected to, but can absolutely participate! Bring a good book or a hobby fit for a picnic table if you like!

One group per time slot. The $60 covers one caregiver and up to 2 children. You may add up to 2 children over 12 months (under are free) and/or additional adults here: Add to Group

You will ‘come work’ for about 30-40 minutes, and then you’ll have another 20-3o minutes to yourselves to enjoy the farm and have a proper visit!

Please email info@dalbyfarm.com if you have specific chores in mind (not all requests will be possible but we will do our best!), but here are some of the examples:

-Collect eggs from the coop

-Pick up / remove sticks from the sheep yard

-Give hay to Baby Betty and Mommy Mabel

-Brush Trudy the Goat

Much more! (Depending on the age of the child, I will occasionally have actual projects on the farm that involve painting, animal enrichment etc. – a perfect way for your child to leave their mark – to keep coming back to find as the years go by!)
