We have big news! We’ve been home to the rarest goat in the world for a long time ( we still have 17.5 year old Maggie and long live Satuit, Shane & all our other OG Arapawa Island sweeties)… but it’s been about 18 years since we’ve introduced a brand new genetic line to our farm! Since it matched up with Halloween so wonderfully, we are changing up the format a little bit!
I am excited to say that Lauren Cole Imagery will be making her annual return to us us during these visits so if not a Halloween costume, perhaps you’ll still dress to impress?! Holiday card photos at an extremely *rare discount (pun intended haha)?! This chance is yours for the taking- Lauren is usually $300 or more for a session!

Trick or Treat Animal Adventure

$20 of the admission price is to be directly allocated toward the cost of bringing our Arapawa Goats home from across the country and maybe even help start the breeding program!
Our Halloween Special includes (for your group of 6 people or less… 12 months and under are free and do not count toward group totals):
-45 minute Halloween themed Family Animal Encounter: You and your costumed (optional) group will browse the farm to collect a few treats from different themed stations in front of some of the animal pens. Each child will be able to collect about a ‘goodie bags’ worth of candy/treasures/novelty items during their visit. We will be closely monitoring the candy stations as to ensure everyone gets some! This year there may be 2 or 3 other groups touring the farm at the same time due to demand (thank you!). A fun opportunity to socialize and re-create the old neighborhood trick or treat vibe!
–3 professionally edited digital images from Lauren Cole Imagery: The wonderful Lauren Cole will be stationed and ready to get a couple photos of your group in a Halloween themed setting. One of our main goals will be to get a photo with the rarest goat(s) in the world somewhere in the background haha (I’m not sure how shy they’ll be at that stage!). You’ll have time to bring Lauren to your favorite spot on the farm for a special picture too!
You will receive a link to view your photos (approx. TWO week turnaround time) and will be able to choose which 3 to download. Lauren will give you an opportunity to purchase the rest of the album for an added fee.
-There are a couple offerings we have in mind but cannot yet announce. Should they work out, we will notify all who have registered and give them an option to add on or not (some working ideas could incur an additional fee). We’ll keep you posted!
Please note the following:
–This event is rain or shine (within reason). Once paid, you have up to 7 days before your visit to cancel for a full refund. After that time we can only offer a refund if we are able to fill your spot. If WE have to cancel due to weather etc., we will reach out with re-scheduling options.
-The amount of treats & treasures at each station will be relative to the number of children declared in each group. Please give us an accurate number so we may plan accordingly. In an effort accommodate allergies, we are not giving out any candy with chocolate or nuts. Please see the photo above to view the variety we are offering (items may vary from group to group).
-Please help us take care of our animal family by making sure the candy/toys stay out of the animal pens and take all trash with you.
-Please respect the time limitations. Arrive 5 minutes early (please park thoughtfully along the Dalby side fo the street) to ensure you don’t lose any of your allotted time. You may start coming up the driveway 2-3 minutes prior to the official start of your photo visit. Someone will be waiting to check you in. Any tardiness will result in a shorter animal visit.
-By completing this purchase you agree to all of the terms we have outlined above and below specific to these photo visits.

Important additional information:
-Costumes not required but requested! They’d make for some excellent family photos! Plus we may be hosting a costume contest.. more details as we get closer.
–We ask that the maximum number be (6) people per group. Due to the fact that we’ll have multiple groups, we may have limits to how many extra you can add. Please reach out to us to discuss any special circumstances or request (Info@DalbyFarm.com / 781-545-4952) prior to checking out.
– Please, NO pets/dogs. We cannot run the risk of stressing out our animals, or having free roaming chickens be chased etc. Thanks for your understanding.
–All parking is street parking. We are a residence with a shared driveway, please do not block either drive and park thoughtfully on the “Dalby side” of the street. Aim for one car per group please, as to avoid forcing the next group to park further away. If you need accessible parking, please let us know and we will arrange a spot for you up top. Please arrive 5 minutes early so you can be parked and have time to walk up.
–Please be slightly flexible. We are going to do everything we can to keep things tightly on schedule but we ask you be prepared for the possibility that things may run a minute or two behind schedule. Your patience is appreciated!
–Remember, you’re coming to a family farm 🙂 The animals are our pets, please show them the same kindness as you would your dog!
Also, we want you to feel good and look great but don’t wear anything you aren’t prepared to possibly see get dirty after your visit. We do not have facilities or time allotted to offer outfit changes.
-Do not come if you or a member of your family has a fever or is showing symptoms of illness.
-Please do not feed the animals anything unless we have given you feed for them. Please do not stick hands into pens and cages. Please use common sense. Please avoid using hand sanitizer until you are done feeding the animals so they don’t ingest any of it off of their food.
