Capture the true meaning of Christmas with these hand crafted sand dollar Christmas ornaments. They are a wonderful gift for anyone that celebrates Christmas and will look festive on any tree. On a card, attached to each ornament, the legend reads:
*The Legend of the Sand Dollar
There is a pretty little legend, that I would like to tell,
of the birth of Jesus, found in this tiny shell.
If you examine closely, you’ll see that you find here,
four nail holes and a fifth one, made by a Roman spear.
On one side is the Easter Lily, it’s center is the star,
that appeared to the shepherds , and led them from afar.
The Christmas poinsettia, etched on the other side,
reminds us of his birthday, our happy Christmas time.
If you’d break the center open, you’d see you would release,
the five white doves awaiting, to spread good will and peace.
This precious little symbol, Christ left to you and me
to help us spread his gospel, through all Eternity.
