Red Apple Salsa is a fun and different kind of salsa. So, if you like trying new things then you will want some of this! Although the taste of apple doesn’t jump out at you, I found there to be a hint of it as I ate some. There was a unique sweetness about it, from the apples I am sure, that definitely tickled my tastebuds!
I always like surprising my family with new things so when I brought this out to try they were very excited! We have had pineapple salsa and other more stereotypical fruit salsas but red apple salsa was one we had not experienced! Needless to say, once we opened the jar, it wasn’t too long before the entire amount had disappeared!
If you are someone, or you kids are, who does not usually eat a lot of fruit or vegetables, then one great way of getting your recommended daily servings, is to eat salsa! Because our red apple salsa has both fruit and vegetables, every time you take a mouthful, you are literally getting some of each! Serve it with some whole grain crackers or chips and you will be on your way to a very healthy snack!
The calorie count in salsa is minimal too so if you are someone that counts calories, you should be eating more salsa. Aside from the delicious taste, the health benefits are great!
