Hey, we’re New Englander’s. Love us or hate us, we’re headed to the Super Bowl this year! Go Pats!

Even if your preferred team isn’t taking part in the exciting festivities this year, you can still get into the football spirit with a fun viewing party for you and your family! To make the most of it, we wanted to give you some tips on how to have the most fun possible! Let us share with you the most simple Super Bowl Party Must-haves!

Decorate

A little can go a long way! Whether your favorite team is competing or not, pick up a banner and some streamers to spice up the TV room. For your snacks,  cheap football shaped plastic serving trays are easy to find and can totally set the mood! You don’t need to go over the top to create the perfect party atmosphere.

Beverages

Football parties can have all different kinds of people coming together so be ready to accommodate as many as you can! Most men, for example, consider beer a requirement when watching any sport but especially football. Between some beer for men, wine for women and soda (or other non-alcoholic drinks) for kids- it won’t take much to have an exceptional selection for your guests. Just remember to keep plenty of ice on hand!

Snacks..Duh

A solid football game can go for as long as 4 hours! Between all of the commercials and replays, plus the half time show- you can be certain your friends will want to be munching all throughout! Fortunately there are so many options to choose from it’s almost a burden. Popular options include: Chips and Salsa, popcorn, finger sandwiches, sliders, chicken wings, french fries.. even healthy options like a veggie plate, guacamole, salad and even flat bread pizzas can keep everybody satisfied.

Just Be Mindful

It’s easy to get carried away when throwing a party! Try to remember to limit the level of waste where possible. Don’t offer plastic cups, or disposable utensils. Encourage drinks to stay in their cans, or use real glassware that will just need a wash after use. However, if you must use paper plates and napkins, try to find ones that were made from recycled paper. Upon completion of your party-  be sure to place everything you can into the recycle bin. Taking care of our environment is crucial especially in events where more resources are required and every little bit of awareness helps.

No matter how much or how little you do for the Super Bowl, have fun with your friends and family. It’s the little things in life that can bring you the best memories. If it ends up being a late night, don’t forget to have some coffee ready for the Monday morning!
